Significant renovations in the mid-17th century, supported by François de Patrocles and Anne of Austria, the mother of Louis XIV, further enhanced the chapel's grandeur. During this period, a sacristy and two private chapels were added, along with a wooden gallery at the west end of the nave. Above the vault springs runs a painted black band, known as a Litre funéraire, adorned with the coat of arms of the Patrocles family, the 17th-century lords of Croissy. This funerary banner adds a touch of historical intrigue to the chapel's interior.
In 1896, the chapel found a new lease on life when artist Théophile Poilpot acquired it. He transformed the former church into his studio and a small museum, adding 14 painted panels (closoirs) from the 15th century to the gallery railing.
